How I updated my fall front porch with these simple hacks (without breaking the bank!)

This week I’m updating my front porch for fall. Here are a couple of simple hacks, mostly using what I already had on hand, to upgrade the fall look.

fall planters

First up are my planters. I love them and get so excited to update them for every season. I’ve had them for years, and they have held up great! Back in the summer I had planted a purple mix of flowers and added some ivy for a beautiful spill over the sides. The ivy has been doing great, and I feel like it adds a pit of a beautiful spooky charm, so it stayed. Inside, I added mums from Home Depot and Trader Joe’s.

I used my favorite fall hack to make the planters look fuller and by adding mini pumpkins and gourds. It’s a simple and effective way to fill those planters up without breaking the bank.

fall wreath

Next, I turned to the door. I’ve had this wreath for years and decided to update it to make it more unique and full. I took dried hydrangeas from my mom’s hydrangea tree and inserted them in the wreath with floral wire. But still, it needed a little something more. So I used some pumpkins from the Target dollar section and added those with floral wire too. The wreath is now full and unique — no one can have one exactly like me now!

What do you think? I’ve rounded up links for my exact products below, as well as some alternatives. Enjoy and happy fall!
